Undersea Turtles

I'll bet you thought I'd never finish and post this painting. I think it's done, at least as much as I'm going to do. Until it's actually framed you never know. I've even been known to take things out of the frame and "adjust" something. What it really needed was to be darkened under the turtles so I went for it. I find it hard to get really dark in watercolor, it's easier to be wishy-washy and not bold. So, I'd really value what some of you followers think, if you have time to make a comment. Thanks.

  1. I find it hard to go dark too, but you've done a nice job here, balancing dark and light. I love your jellyfish! And your fan coral are so nice too--did you mask them? The turtles are wonderful--it's nice to see two!
ps I'm trying to remember where I got my little table--when I find it, I'll send you a link!

  3. It's gorgeous! The tones really convey the depth of the water- I like the mixture of blues, greens and purples. The brown turtles are just right. I think you've nailed your bold colors. Beautiful!
BTW- thank you for the book recommendation "Cats who Paint"- sounds like a must have!
