February 30 in 30- Day 21

Magnolia
Watercolor 11 X 16

This was also painted in the workshop I attended with Elaine Charney. I don't usually like working with masking fluid but that was the assignment with this painting so I followed instructions, masking the flowers before painting the very wet background. It is possible to do this without masking fluid but a little trickier. I like the results and will try this one again.

  1. Oh so very pretty Jan. Yeah you know I'm a flower person. And I see you do your watercolors in larger sizes. Very nice. That's my next goal. Working larger. I'm finally getting my fill of small.
We're in the home stretch now.. I have no doubt we will both finish.
But it may be another 3 years before I do my next one. lol

    1. They are larger because that's the size we used at the workshop. Now I'm doing some smaller ones. They dry faster. Yes, the regular art making is good, hectic but good.
